NEW - Heathrow Airspace and Future Operations Consultation
28/02/2019
The Heathrow Airspace and Future Operations Consultation closes on Monday 4th March
Have your say...
The airspace around Heathrow has remained the same for the last 60 years.
That is all about to change with a massive increase in concentrated flight paths, flights and noise.
You may not experience departure flight paths at this time, but with these changes Englefield Green and the surrounding area will receive an enormous increase in concentrated noise from departures, with 9 proposed departure flight paths over Englefield Green alone, just 10’s of metres wide (as per 2014 trial flights) with up to 67 flights an hour passing overhead at low altitudes for 17.5 hours a day.
But even before the third runway is built, for the first time ever, arrivals will fly over Englefield Green with 25 arrivals between 06:00 and 07:00 in the morning with an additional 25,000 flights per year.
The summary response from Englefield Green Action Group is now available and attached along with the flyer posted outside Lloyds the Chemist and at the Village Centre noticeboards and various other places.
You can pick up a printed copy of the Heathrow Questionnaire with Freepost envelope and separate suggested responses, at Smiths in St Judes Road, Genevieve’s in Victoria St, and The Village Centre in Victoria Street or The Happy Man public house in Harvest Road.
Or the questionnaire can be completed online, please check for details: https://englefieldgreenactiongroup.com/2019/02/23/heathrow-airspace-and-future-operations-consultation/
