Englefield Green Village Fair 2010
VILLAGE FAIR Goes From Strength to Strength!
Firstly we would like to thank everyone who helped make last year?s Fair such an outstanding success; from our sponsors to the legion of people who gave up their free time to make it all happen on the day. Anyone who came along will know that the Green was packed all afternoon with an estimated 3000 people !
This year the line-up of events and attractions was better than ever....
1. Inter-pub and inter-school Tug-O-War
2. Music from two very different local bands
3. Over 60 stalls selling a range of home-produced food, plants and handicrafts
4. Food Village and Beer & Tea Tents
5. Arena events included Maypole Dancing, and a Birds of Prey Demonstration.... and a whole lot more! There was plenty for everyone and fingers crossed we catch some sun again. It was a fun afternoon enormously enjoyed by a record turnout!
During the 2009 Fair, EGVRA were delighted to present £500 cheques to both St Jude's Primary School and Manorcroft Junior Football Club. St Jude's will put it towards their brass instrument fund and Manorcroft towards buying a gang mower for their grounds.
